TACOMA, WA. – The Sagehens continued their season strong in their game against Pacific Lutheran University with a winning score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Tacoma, Washington.

Season Impact: With the win, the Sagehens continue their season 3-0-0 overall.

The Sagehens started with a fierce offense. While their first shots were stopped by Pacific Lutheran, forward Hannah Hong broke through the Lutes defense and scored the first goal of the game at the 17' minute mark and set the score 1-0. The Sagehen offense continued to push against Pacific Lutheran with several goal attempts. Notably, midfielder Ava Watanabe, midfielder Lucia Page Sander and forward Imogen Jenkyn each attempted goals at the 25', 39' and 41' minute marks, respectively, but were stopped by the Lutes defense. The Sagehens finished the first half with the lead 1-0. Despite attempts from Pacific Lutheran, the Sagehen defense remained sturdy the entire game as they did not allow the Lutes to score. The Sagehens ended the game with a shutout 1-0 victory over the Lutes.
