CLAREMONT, CA — The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Lacrosse team remained undefeated in SCIAC play with a commanding 28–2 victory over Whittier at Merritt Field. With the win, the Sagehens improve to 12-2 overall and 8-0 in conference, while the Poets fall to 0-11 (0-9 SCIAC).
 
The Sagehens were led by Maria Favret and Fiona Lewis who each netted four in the win. Joella Linder and Taylor Glanville also netted hat-tricks with three each while Madelyn Katz, Sydney Landauer, and Caili Cross had two and Chloe Denhart, Grace Tighe, Zaina Sayeed, Caroline Donegan, Shoshi Henderson, Izzy Sabatino, River Buechner, and Sophia Van Luchene had one.
Pomona-Pitzer wasted no time taking control of the game, exploding for 12 goals in the first quarter while holding Whittier to just one.  Lewis, Landauer, Glanville, Cross, Buchner, Tighe and Linder got on the board in the first that helped the Sagehens get up over 10 with four minutes left to play in the first.  
 
Pomona-Pitzer continued to dominate in the remaining quarters with five in the second, six in the third and five more in the fourth. Denhart, Lewis, Cross, Favret and Glanville pushed the lead to 17-1 heading into halftime while Pomona-Pitzer netted 11 more in the second half as they cruised to a win to keep their undefeated season in SCIAC play alive.
