CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Water Polo team came away with an 11-5 win over SCIAC opponent Cal Lutheran on Wednesday afternoon at Haldeman Pool.
Season Impact: with the win, the Sagehens improved to 10-7 over and 5-0 in SCIAC play.
The Sagehens were led by
Mia Amberger who had four goals in the win.

Ayva Magna,
Lisbon Zeigler,
Brienz Lang,
Layla Szymczak,
Lulu Gaither, and
Paityn Richardson had one.
The Sagehens jumped out to a lead over the Regals early in the game while goalkeeper
Zosia Amberger kept Cal Lutheran quiet totaling 11 saves. While Zosia was preventing goals, Mia opened the game with the first three goals to put the Sagehens on top while Stigar netted another to take a 4-0 lead. Cal Lutheran got two goals in the second quarter but Szymczak, and Richardson got the Sagehens to halftime with a 6-2 lead.
Pomona-Pitzer added a few more goals in the third from Zeigler and Ambegrer to go up 8-3 entering the fourth. Cal Lutheran's offense could not figure out how to keep up with the Sagehens and goals from Gaither, Magna and Lang in the fourth capped off another SCIAC win for Pomona-Pitzer at home.
