COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – The Pomona Pitzer Lacrosse team suffered its first loss the season with a 13-8 loss to Colorado College.
Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens fall to 9-1 overall.
The Sagehens were led by
Hannah Gough and
Caili Cross who each netted a hat-trick with three goals while
Fiona Lewis and
Sydney Landauer had one.
The Sagehens fell behind early as the Tigers started with a 4-1 lead in the first. Landauer and Gough score early in each quarter but the Tigers' defense limited Pomona-Pitzer to just two goals in the first half to hold a 7-2 lead at the break.
The Sagehens started the second with two of the first three goals from Gough and Cross, but The Tigers made another run late in the third and early in the fourth to extend the lead to 12-4. Gough, Lewis and Cross scored fourth quarter goals for the Sagehens but ultimately fell to Colorado College for their first loss of 2025.
