WHITTIER, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Lacrosse team opened the season with back-to-back 20+ goal games after their 25-0 win over SCIAC opponent Whittier on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Field.
Season Impact: With the win, the Sagehens improved to 2-0 to start the year.
The Sagehens were led by
Sydney Landauer who netted four in the win while
Maria Favret,
Shoshi Henderson, and
Ella Bradley all had hat-tricks as well with three.
Fiona Lewis,
Joella Linder, and
Audrey Jacklyn had two while
Sophia Van Luchene,
Izzy Sabatino,
Caili Cross,
Ruby Gibbs,
Chloe Denhart and
Madelyn Katz had one.
The Sagehens dominated the Poets from start to finish and opened up the game with a 13-goal first quarter to take a big lead. The Sagehens continued that momentum into the second after they added nine more goal to head into halftime up 19-0.
Pomona-Pitzer cooled off the offense in the second half but still managed to shut out the Poets through all four quarter. The Sagehen added one more goal in the third and then five more in the fourth to cruise to their second win in as many games in the 2025 season.
