The Engineers cut into the deficit late but E. Lee's third triple of the afternoon and J. Lee's layup in the final seconds helped Pomona-Pitzer maintain a 30-27 lead at halftime.

Pomona-Pitzer opened the second half with momentum as Homan scored off a feed from Kayla Malek, extending the Sagehens' lead to 32-27. The Engineers used a 6-0 run to take their first lead since the opening minutes, 43-39. Chicco scored a layup to stop the run, and E.
