Sagehens Tie 0-0 With CMS In Sixth Street Rivalry Game

CLAREMONT, CA – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Soccer Team tied with CMS in a competitive 0-0 stalemate this Wednesday.

Season Impact: With the tie, the Sagehens continue their season 11-0-3 overall and 7-0-3 in SCIAC play.

The Sagehens pushed against the CMS defenses and formed assorted opportunities to score. Notably, Brooke Bailey, and Vivian Rojas Collins and Sabina Peterson Rajalingam each attempted to break through the opposing defenses at the 5', 7', and 8' minute marks but each missed their marks. Peterson Rajalingam and Bailey also made attempts against the goal at the 28' and 35' minute marks, respectively, but were stopped by the CMS defenses. While the opposing offenses tried to score on the Sagehens, goalkeeper Patricia DePalma made saves at the 23', 25', and 30' minute marks. The Sagehens tried to break through the CMS defenses again with a shot from Imogen Jenkyn at the 34' minute mark that was stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. The Sagehens finished the first half in a competitive tie with CMS 0-0.

Pomona-Pitzer continued playing strong into the second half. The Sagehens continued crafting more opportunities to break through the opposing defenses with Sabina Peterson Rajalingam, Kendrick Dahlin, and Hannah Hong each making shots at the 47', 54', and 57' minute marks, each were stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. The Pomona-Pitzer defense also stayed strong as goalkeeper Hadley Johnson saved shot attempts at the 51' and 78' minute marks. Pomona-Pitzer finished the game in a 0-0 draw.
