THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's volleyball fell in straight sets (19-25, 19-25, 21-25) at Cal Lutheran Tuesday night on the road. 
 
Season Impact: The result puts the Sagehens at 7-11 on the season, including 2-6 in SCIAC play.
 
Paige Mountanos, 
Samantha Grabb and 
Charlotte Sekerka tallied nine kills apiece to lead the Sagehens offensively, while 
Savanna Cespedes dished out a team-high 19 assists. 
Corrina Benson notched 23 digs while Mountanos added five blocks to pace the team defensively. 
 
Grabb posted a kill midway through the opening set to make it 15-13 Regals. Sekerka added a pair of her own later before Benson registered a service ace. But Cal Lutheran pulled away to take set one, 25-19. In set two, 
CC Porter tallied a kill to make it 20-18 Regals late in the frame. 
Ella Mesard registered a kill of her own but Cal Lutheran went on to win the set, 25-19. 
 
In the third set, Pomona-Pitzer staved off four straight match point opportunities from the Regals with kills from Grabb and Mountanos. But Cal Lutheran eventually sealed the frame, 25-21, and the match, 3-0.
