THOUSAND OAKS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Basketball team fell on the road to Cal Lutheran 75-67 on Wednesday night at Gilbert Arena.

Season Impact: with the loss, the Sagehens fall to 10-8 overall and 5-4 in SCIAC play.

The Sagehens were led by Jadyn Lee who went for 13 points and six rebounds in the loss while Charlize Andaya had 12.

Pomona-Pitzer stayed with Cal Lutheran throughout the entire game and held a small 15-12 lead early in the first after a Kayla Malek three-pointer. The Sagehens kept their lead and ended the first up one point at 18-17 before an 11-2 run by the Regals in the second gave them a 31-24 lead over the Sagehens.   Pomona-Pitzer did a good job of stopping the run and chipping away the lead before halftime as the two teams went into the break tied at 34-34.

The Sagehens came out in the third and immediately hit two threes to take a 40-34 lead, but another big run by Cal Lutheran erased the lead and took back the advantage with a 52-46 lead that was cut down to a 52-48 lead heading into the fourth.

Cal Lutheran took a seven-point lead at 64-57 midway through the fourth quarter and kept the Sagehens out of striking distance for the rest of the game as they were able to hold off Pomona-Pitzer and hand the Sagehens their fourth loss in conference play.
