Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Dahlin, Jenkyn, And Khu Put Sagehens Past Loggers At Home

CLAREMONT, CA. –  The No.22 Pomona-Pitzer Women's Soccer team came away with their first win of 2024 with a 3-0 victory of Puget Sound on Monday morning at the Pomona-Pitzer Soccer Field.

Season Impact: with the win, the Sagehens improved to 1-0-1 on the year.

The Sagehens were led by the trio of Kendrick Dahlin, Imogen Jenkyn, and Amanda Khu who all netted their first goals of 2024 while Eliana Prosnitz, Hannah Hong and Jenkyn all picked up assists in the win.  The Sagehen defense was incredible today and did not allow a shot from the Puget Sound offense throughout the endite game.  The Sagehens outshot Puget Sound 24-0 and had 14 shots on goal. Patricia DePalma picked up her second shutout of the year in the process.

The goals got started in the 21st minute after the Sagehen offense was threatening all half and finally broke through as Dahlin curled in a beautiful ball outside the box into the top right corner to put the Sagehens up 1-0.

Pomona-Pitzer added two more goals in the second half as Jenkyn netted her first career collegiate goal off of an assist from Hannah Hong in the 73rd minute and then assisted Khu who poached in a goal in the 87th minute as the Sagehens capped off their opening weekend with a 3-0 win at home.

Up Next: The Sagehens will next host Macalester College on Friday, September 6th at 4:30 p.m.
