FULLERTON, CA. – The No. 2 ranked Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis team fell to Division I opponent Cal State Fullerton 4-0 on Friday afternoon at Titan Court.
Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens fall to 14-4 overall.
Pomona-Pitzer lost the doubles point using the division I format with losses at No. 3 and No. 1 doubles.
Amelia Poor and
Alex Coleman dropped their match 6-4 at the No. 3 spot while
Lauren Rha and
Nina Ye fell 7-5 at the No. 1 position.
The Sagehens went on to drop the next three singles matches as
Leticia Bazua Vazquez fell 6-0, 6-0 while Rha fell in her singles match at the No. 1 spot, 6-1, 6-1. The Sagehens ended the day with a loss at the No., 4 position as
Marissa Markey lost 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 4 singles as the Sagehens had their six-match streak snapped by the Titans.
