CLAREMONT, CA. – The No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer Lacrosse team netted a season-high 26 goals in their 26-1 win over SCIAC opponent Cal Lutheran on Wednesday night at the South Athletics Complex.
Season Impact: With the win, the Sagehens improved to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in SCIAC play to remain undefeated on the season.
The Sagehens were led by
Fiona Lewis and
River Buechner who each shared a game-high four goals in the win. Lewis and Buechner were the only two Sagehens to register a hat-trick with Lewis earning her eighth in nine games and Buechner getting her second of the season.

Sydney Landauer,
Chloe Denhart,
Grace Warner,
Ella Bradley, and
Regan Schunk all had two goals apiece while
Scarlett Lang,
Joella Linder,
Katherine Lin,
Maren Wydra,
Audrey Jacklyn, and
Madelyn Katz had one.
Pomona-Pitzer scored early and often against the Regals with four goals in the first eight minutes of the first quarter. Landauer got the scoring going followed by Warner, Denhart, and Warner again to make it 4-0. The Sagehens then netted six goals in six minutes to go up by 10 just before the end of the first with Lewis, Landauer, and Buechner all scoring goals to give the Sagehens a 10-goal lead heading into the second quarter.
Lin, Lewis, Buechner, and Schunk got the scoring going in the second quarter to extend the lead to 14-0 before Cal Lutheran scored their only goal of the game to break up the streak of 14 consecutive goals by Pomona-Pitzer to make it 14-1 heading into halftime.
Pomona-Pitzer went on to shut out Cal Lutheran in the second half while they continued to light up the scoreboard with goals of their own. The offense tallied seven goals in the third from Glanville, Jacklyn, Linder, Denhart, Lang, Schunk, and Katz to make it 21-1 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Sagehens ended the game with five more goals to cap off their season-high with Buechner, Glanville, Bradley, and Wydra all finding the back of the net as Pomona-Pitzer cruised to its ninth win of the season.
