CLAREMONT, Calif. — Despite a game-high 20 points from
Jadyn Lee, Pomona-Pitzer women's basketball fell 66-57 to Emmanuel College Sunday evening at Voelkel Gymnasium.
Season Impact: The result drops the Sagehens to 6-3 on the season, including 2-0 in SCIAC play.
Jadyn Lee scored 20 points for her fifth 20-point outing of the season, shooting 8-of-19 from the floor. She also tallied a team-high 12 rebounds and four steals.
Sara Chicco posted 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting from three, while
Emily Lee added 13 points for Pomona-Pitzer.
The Sagehens took an early 11-9 advantage midway through the first quarter following a triple and a mid-range jumper from
Jadyn Lee.
Jadyn Lee hit another pair of three-pointers on back-to-back possessions to extend Pomona-Pitzer's lead, 17-12.
Emily Lee and Chicco traded treys early in the second quarter, giving the Sagehens a 23-20 lead. The Saints then used an 8-0 run to go up 28-23.

Emmanuel extended its lead to nine, 46-37, early in the third quarter before
Kayla Malek and
Jadyn Lee traded jumpers for the Sagehens. Malek hit a floater,
Shea Joko scored a driving layup and
Emily Lee completed a three-point play to highlight a 9-4 run, as Pomona-Pitzer trailed 55-50 heading into the fourth quarter.
Emily Lee drained a triple early in the final quarter, cutting the Sagehens' deficit to 56-53. But the Saints scored eight unanswered to go up 64-53. Chicco hit another three and
Emily Lee added a free throw to make it 64-57 with 3:56 to go, but Emmanuel held on to secure the 66-57 win.
