CLAREMONT, CA. — Pomona-Pitzer men's water polo defeated Occidental 15-10 Wednesday night at Haldeman Pool.Â

Indigo Lee and
Zach Whitfield guided Pomona-Pitzer with three goals apiece, with Lee adding a trio of assists and a pair of steals.
Conrad Hugar added two goals for the Sagehens while
Liam Byrne posted seven saves in goal.

Teams traded goals to start the match, with
Max Distaso, Lee and
Patrick Hughes scoring in the first period to take a 3-2 lead. Whitfield scored back-to-back goals before scores from Hugar, Lee and
Chase Barman putting the Sagehens up 8-3 just before halftime.Â

Zachary Kaplan found the back of the net off a Lee assist to give Pomona-Pitzer an 11-6 advantage late in the third. But the Tigers came storming back, scoring four straight to cut the Sagehens' lead to one, 11-10.Â

Pomona-Pitzer finished the match strong, as
Darragh Flanders, Whitfield, Lee and
Logan Colman each scored to fuel a 4-0 run and seal the 15-10 victory.
