ORANGE, CA. — Pomona-Pitzer men's water polo pulled away early and cruised to a 15-9 victory over Chapman Saturday afternoon on the road.Â
Season Impact: The win improves the Sagehens' record to 8-8 on the season, including 3-0 in SCIAC play.Â

Darragh Flanders,
Chase Barman and
Conrad Hugar paced Pomona-Pitzer with three goals apiece, while Barman dished out a team-high three assists.
Logan Colman pitched in two scores while
Liam Byrne notched a season-high 12 saves.Â

The Sagehens took control from the get-go, as Hugar scored back-to-back goals and Flanders and
Jack Ryan found the back of the net to put the team up 4-0. Colman, Barman and Hugar then made it 7-1 for Pomona-Pitzer. Flanders and Barman scored again as the Sagehens took an 11-3 advantage at the break.Â

Chapman tightened things up in the third, scoring the period's only five goals to cut Pomona-Pitzer's lead to three, 11-8. But the Sagehens opened the final period with a 4-0 run, capped with a Colman score to extend their lead back to seven, 15-8. The Panthers scored one more before the horn but it was Pomona-Pitzer that came away with the 15-9 win.Â
