CLAREMONT, CA. — The Pomona-Pitzer men's soccer team fell 4-1 to Redlands Wednesday afternoon at home.Â

Pomona-Pitzer recorded 10 shots on the day, including six on target, with the lone score coming off a penalty kick in the 37th minute by Niclas Ulrich. Redlands posted eight shots on target and 19 overall.

The Sagehens fell behind 2-0 after first half Bulldog goals in the seventh and 28th minutes. But Pomona-Pitzer earned a penalty chance after a Redlands player was booked with a yellow card in the box. Ulrich fired the ensuing shot from the spot into the bottom right corner to put the Sagehens on the board.Â

The start of the second half saw multiple scoring opportunities for Pomona-Pitzer, with Oak Jarvis missing a shot from the top of the box high and Keyon Namdar seeing his shot saved. But the Bulldogs widened their lead in the 62nd minute, 3-1.Â

Sammy Faham and Kyle Lau each had shots saved in the 65th minute while Namdar's shot in the 67th was also saved by Redlands' goalkeeper. The Bulldogs scored again in the 77th minute, going on to win 4-1.Â
