CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis team fell in the SCIAC Tournament Final to CMS 5-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
The Sagehens started out down 3-0 after dropping all three doubles matches to the Stags. The No. 2 doubles team of Charlie Stark and Hayden Snyder fell 8-0 followed by the No. 3 team of Nils Skattum and Mukund Madabhushi who lost their match 8-3.
The Sagehens had a chance to salvage a point at No. 1 doubles as Jansen Comadena and Owen Kelley fought their way into a tiebreaker, but ultimately fell to the Stags No. 1 team, 8-7 (7-3).
The Stags needed only two singles matches to clinch against the Sagehens. Those matches came at the No. 5 singles match with Comadena falling 6-0, 6-0 and No. 2 as Stark lost his singles match, 6-3, 6-2.
