ROME, GA. – Drew Goldman advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Cup after earning a pair of straight-set victories before falling to Alex Feies of Carnegie Mellon University in a three-set semifinal match. Following his ITA run, Goldman earned All-American honors after qualifying for the ITA Cup with his ITA West Regional singles championship last week.

Goldman opened the tournament's Round of 16 with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win over Dominik Knutson of Gustavus Adolphus College. He continued his strong run in the quarterfinals the following day, defeating Sibi Raja of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 6-3, 6-4, to secure his place in the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Goldman battled through a competitive match against Feies, dropping the opening set 6-4 before rallying to take the second set 7-5. Feies claimed the deciding set 6-1 to end Goldman's run at the tournament.

The 2026 ITA All-American recognition adds to Goldman's impressive collegiate résumé. As a freshman, he posted a 17-6 record at No. 1 singles, earning ITA Rookie of the Year and SCIAC Newcomer of the Year honors while becoming an ITA All-American in both singles and doubles. He followed that performance with another All-American selection in singles as a sophomore and made his second NCAA tournament appearance in both singles and doubles alongside partner Jay Mallampati.

Goldman's latest postseason success continues to establish him among the top players in NCAA Division III tennis. Recognized as the ITA Cup's Division III Player to Watch, Goldman continues to build on an accomplished collegiate career as he enters his junior season at Pomona-Pitzer.
