CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis team punched its ticket to the SCIAC Tournament Championship with their 5-0 win over Caltech on Friday afternoon at the Pauley Tennis Complex.
The Sagehens got ahead 3-0 after taking all three doubles matches against the Beavers. The Sagehens got all three of their wins by the score of 8-2 as the No. 1 doubles team of Jansen Comadena and Owen Kelley, No. 2 team of Charlie Stark and Hayden Snyder and the No. 3 team of Nils Skattum and Mukund Madabhushi got the Sagehens up 3-0.
The Sagehens needed just two singles matches to clinch against Caltech and got them at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Stark got the singles matches started with a 6-1, 6-1 win and Kush Patel ended the match at No. 3 with a 6-2, 6-4 victory.
