CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis team fell in their second round matchup against CMS 5-0 on Saturday morning at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
The Sagehens faced off against CMS for the third time this season after their win over George Fox in the first round of the NCAA Tournament yesterday.
The Sagehens dropped all three of the doubles matches against CMS. Charlie Stark and Kush Patel fell in their match at No. 2 doubles to the Stags 8-3 followed by the No. 3 team of Mukund Madabhushi and Hayden Snyder who fell 8-2. Pomona-Pitzer ended doubles with a hard-fought loss at No. 1 doubles with the team of Jansen Comadena and Owen Kelley coming up just short with an 8-5 loss.
After the Sagehens lost in all three doubles, the Stags needed just two singles wins to clinch the match. The clinch for the Stags came at No. 1 after Hayden Snyder fell 6-3, 6-2 to end the day for the Sagehens, knocking them out of the NCAA Tournament.
