CLAREMONT, Calif. – The No. 10 Pomona-Pitzer men's tennis team fell to No. 4 ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 6-3 on Friday afternoon at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
The Sagehens started out with a 2-1 lead as they took two of the three doubles matches to start the day.
The first win for the Sagehens came in the No. 2 doubles match as the team of junior Jake Yasgoor and senior Jonathan Kim defeated their opponents 8-3. The second doubles win came in the No. 3 doubles match as the team of sophomore Kalyan Chadalavada and junior Josh Kim won by the score of 8-6.
The Stags came back for the win as they won five of the six singles matches. The Sagehens only took one of the singles matches as Yasgoor also went on to win his singles match in the No. 2 spot as he took down his opponent 7-6, 7-6.
The Sagehens next take the court as they host SCIAC opponent Chapman on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Pauley Tennis Complex
