Pomona-Pitzer Falls At Redlands In Final Dual Of Season

Claremont, Calif. - The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis team had a four-match winning streak snapped as it fell 7-2 at Redlands on Friday.

It was the final dual match of the regular season for the Sagehens, who fall to 9-13 overall and 3-4 in the SCIAC with the loss.

The senior doubles combination of Max Sabel (Sun Valley, Idaho) and Frankie Allinson (McGregor, Texas) earned a 9-8 win at No. 1 doubles, and junior Chris Wiechert (Eugene, Ore.) got a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles to account for Pomona-Pitzer's points.

Sophomore Connor Hudson (Golden, Colo.) went three sets at No. 3 singles, and fell 9-7 at No. 2 doubles with fellow sophomore Connor Sutton (Overland Park, Kan.) in the tightest losses for the Sagehens.

Pomona-Pitzer is back in action next weekend when it travels to the Ojai Tournament, the final tune-up before the SCIAC Tournament on May 3-4.
