St. Peter. Minn. - The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis team took five
of the six singles matches to capture a 6-3 win over Gustavus
Adolphus at the ITA Indoor Nationals Saturday morning.
Max Sabel
(pictured) picked up wins at both singles and doubles, capturing
his singles match in three sets (7-6, 2-6, 6-2) and combining with
Frankie
Allinson to win his doubles match 8-3.
Tommy Meyer had
an easy time at No. 1 singles, earning a 6-3, 6-1 win over Amrik
Donkena, while Uday
Singh rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4. Chris Wiechert
also earned a straight-set win at No. 2, earning 6-3, 6-4
wins over Mya Smith-Dennis.
Connor Hudson
was victorious in his match 7-6, 3-6, 3-1 in an abbreviated match,
due to the Sagehens clinching the team victory.
Pomona-Pitzer will be back in action tonight for its final match
of the ITA Indoor Nationals against Trinity (Texas).
