Biography

At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed her senior season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Water Polo team, where she played defense, and was a part of four SCIAC Championship teams in four years (three outright, one shared)…Also competed on the Swimming team in the freestyle, winning five SCIAC titles (a 100-200 sweep her senior year, and three relay titles), and honorable mention All-America honors as a junior and senior in the 800 free relay.

2015: SCIAC All-Academic team...Scored 14 goals, while missing the first half of the season to compete with the swimming team at nationals...Had four goals in a home sweep in one day against Occidental (three) and Bucknell (one)...Had two goal games in SCIAC wins over Redlands and Chapman.

2014: ACWPC Honorable Mention Division III All-America selection...Second-team All-SCIAC...SCIAC All-Academic team...Earned ACWPC Superior All-Academic Distinction...Missed 16 matches to compete on the swimming team, but still finished with 17 goals...Had two goals in an NCAA Play-in match against UC San Diego...Scored twice in an 8-7 win over CMS in the regular season finale which clinched the top seed in the SCIAC Tournament...Had three goals in a win over VMI and two in an 11-9 win over Bucknell and in a 9-6 win over St. Francis (N.Y.), all Division I programs.

2013: SCIAC All-Academic team...Earned Superior All-Academic status from the ACWPC...Scored 23 goals on the year...Named to All-Tournament team at NCAA Championships, when she played through a broken finger...Scored goals against UC San Diego and Iona at the NCAAs...Had two goals against Occidental in the SCIAC semifinals...Led the Sagehens with three goals in a 10-9 loss to Villanova...Tied for team-high honors with three goals in a 9-8 loss to Brown and a 12-11 loss to Azusa Pacific.

2012: Had 15 goals on the year, including one against Iona in the NCAA Tournament to help force overtime...Was named the SCIAC Female Athlete of the Week (all sports) after scoring three goals in a 15-13 overtime win over then-No. 1 Occidental, including the go-ahead goal in regulation and then two goals in overtime...Had a goal in the second overtime of a 12-11 win over Redlands in the SCIAC Championship game, and then assisted on the game-winning goal in the third overtime...Had two goals in an 11-4 loss to Pacific and two more in a 9-7 win over Redlands.

High School: Attended Rio Americano High School in Sacramento, where she competed on the swimming and water polo teams...A part of four sectional titles in water polo...Earned one sectional title for the swim team... Earned Rio Americano's Female Athlete of the Year Award...A National Merit Scholar Commended Scholar, and an AP Scholar with honors...Also competed for the Arden Hills Swimming club and the American River Water Polo club.

Personal: Attending Pomona College, where she majors in mathematical economics with a minor in computer science...Both parents are physicians...Has two sisters, one of whom attended Pomona and played water polo for Pomona-Pitzer, while the other played water polo at Princeton...Spent the summer (2014) teaching a seven-week computer science curriculum to high school girls at the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco as part of a Girls Who Code summer immersion program...Favorite movies are Forrest Gump and the Harry Potter movies...Chose Pomona because "I love the size, location, and environment Pomona offers. It is also an excellent balance of academics and athletics."
