High School: Attended Garfield High School in Seattle, where she was a four-year letter-winner...Earned King County 4A honorable mention accolades as a senior...Served as team captain...Was class valedictorian and earned the school's Spanish Department Award...Also played for the Northwest Nationals Rayos club team...Helped the Nationals to championships at the Pleasanton RAGE College Showcase and the US Club Soccer National Cup Regional championship...Also led her club team to the quarterfinals of the USYS Washington State Championship Cup.

Personal: Attending Pomona College, where she majors in philosophy, politics and economics, with an interest in applied anthropology...Has two older brothers and one older sister...Lists writing as a hobby..."American Democracy in Theory and Practice" is the most interesting course she has taken at Pomona so far...Favorite athletes include Abby Wambach and Osvaldo Alonso...The Shawshank Redemption is her favorite movie, while her favorite books include Pride and Prejudice, Middlesex, and Blink...Lists Maya Angelou, Barack Obama, and Shakespeare as the public figures she most admires...Plans to attend law school after graduation...Worked as an intern for the marketing and developing team for First Place, a school for neglected and homeless children...Spent the summer (2014) traveling to Peru and Bolivia after a semester abroad in Ecuador...Would recommend Pomona because "the liberal arts education gives you freedom to take charge of your own education.
