Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

Bernard Hoffrogge is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Pomona-Pitzer women's soccer program, a role he has held since 2023. During his tenure, the program has posted a 47-5-11 overall record (28-1-7 in SCIAC play) and produced 17 All-Conference selections, 15 All-Region honorees, and 7 All-Americans, along with three SCIAC Offensive Players of the Year and a SCIAC Defensive Player of the Year. Hoffrogge has twice been part of a SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year (2023, 2025) and was recognized with the Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 2025.

Hoffrogge joined Pomona-Pitzer after a season as an assistant with SCIAC rival Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (2022-23), where he led goalkeeper training and assisted with scouting and recruitment. Before that, he spent a season with Caltech's men's program (2021-22).

Beyond the college ranks, Hoffrogge served as Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at Colony High School (2022-24) and has been a fixture in the local youth soccer scene, coaching with Claremont Stars Soccer Club since 2020 and serving as the club's Youth Director. He also served as Head Coach of the LA Surf Soccer Club's WPSL team from 2023-2025, overseeing a semi-professional women's program.

Hoffrogge holds a US Soccer National "B" coaching license and is CPR and First-Aid certified. He earned his BA in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Sports Management, from Concordia University Irvine.
