Madison Quan

Quan joined the Pomona-Pitzer Coaching Staff in 2023 after a stellar playing career as a student-athlete for the Sagehens.

Quan was a standout student-athlete for the Sagehens from 2018-2023, graduating with marks all over the women's basketball record book. She assisted the program to multiple SCIAC championship appearances including the 2019 tournament championship, and was part of the first 3 program consecutive winning seasons since 2002. She holds the program record for career 3-pointers with 164. She sits 6th on the all-time points list with 1,313, 5th on the all-time assists list with 359, and 2nd on the all-time steals list with 285. She holds the single-game points record with 41, and the single-game steals record with 10. During the 22-23 season, she became the program's first 1,000-point scorer since 2017. Madison was named the 2023 SCIAC Player of the Year to cap off her playing career at Pomona-Pitzer. She was a 3-time first-team all-SCIAC selection and 2-time all-west region selection. 

Madison is a first-generation college student who double majored in Organizational Studies and Environmental Analysis at Pitzer College before receiving her Master's in Business Management at Claremont Graduate University. 

Off the court, Madison was President of the Pitzer Student Impact Council, the Pitzer Student Senate Athletics Commissioner, and the Pomona-Pitzer SAAC Leadership Chair. During the Summer, she is a Head Coach for North/South Basketball and a volunteer with Special Olympics Basketball.

Madison is also an Experience Designer, Designing Your Team, at The Claremont Colleges' Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity (the Hive).Â
