Mary Brooks

Mary Brooks enters her first season with the Pomona-Pitzer Water Polo staff in 2024 as an Assistant Coach for the Sagehens. 

Brooks previously coached at the collegiate level with UC Irvine as an assistant coach in 2019-20 and most recently has been the Head Coach of Clovis West High School Girls Water Polo and Clovis Water Polo Club 18u from 2021-2023. She also led Clovis West to a 2022 D1 CIF Central Section Championship. 

Brooks excelled during her playing career as a Division I collegiate athlete at UC Irvine and spent time with the USA National Teams. For UC Irvine, she was Big West Freshman of the year in 2015, 2016 Big West Player of the Year, and 2017 Big West Player of the Year as well as the 2017 Big West Championship MVP. For USA Women's Water Polo National Teams, Brooks was 2012 Youth World Championships (4th place), the 2014 Youth World Champs (1st place), the 2015 Junior World Champs (1st place), the 2017 World University Games (1st place), and a 2017 FINA World Leauge Super Final Champion. 

Brooks is from Fresno and attended Clovis West High School where she was a Four-time NISCA All-American and a two-time D1 CIF Central Section section MVP. She also was a swimming six-time CIF D1 Central Section individual champion and a two-time NISCA All-American.
