Matt O’Connor heads leadership and professional development activities for Pomona-Pitzer football.  

As a two-time captain, O’Connor excelled during his playing career at Pomona-Pitzer (2011-2015).  O’Connor was among SCIAC leaders in tackles (173) and tackles for loss (13).  He ranks as the fifth leading tackler in Pomona-Pitzer history.
Off the football field, O’Connor was a four-year letterman in track and field, participating in shot put and hammer throw.  As a student at Pomona College, O’Connor was a Politics, Philosophy & Economics and Theatre double major, and was named to the SCIAC All-Academic team each year of his career.
O’Connor holds an MBA from the Drucker School of Management, and currently serves as Assistant Vice President for Development at The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.  A community leader, O’Connor is the former executive director of the not-for-profit organization 3-D Leadership, a Board member for several national non-profit organizations, and an active member of the Sagehen Athletics alumni community.
