Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

David Gamble joined the Pomona-Pitzer football program in 2026 following nine seasons of coaching and developing players in one of the most competitive football environments in the country.

At Orange Lutheran High School, Gamble worked his way through nearly every level of the program, serving as a Freshman Head Coach, JV Head Coach, JV Defensive Coordinator, Inside Linebackers Coach, and Varsity Defensive Backs Coach. His experience helped shape a coaching identity built on preparation, relationships, attention to detail, and competitive excellence.

His philosophy is simple: preparation creates confidence, and confidence allows players to play fast. Gamble teaches his players to anticipate rather than react by mastering technique, understanding tendencies, recognizing coverages, and developing a complete understanding of the game.

Relationships remain at the foundation of his approach. Gamble believes the responsibility of a coach extends beyond Saturdays and focuses on developing disciplined competitors, dependable teammates, and young men prepared to succeed beyond football. He brings that same energy, standard, and commitment to player development to Pomona-Pitzer.
