At Pomona-Pitzer: Competed his senior season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Baseball team, where he primarily played catcher...2014: SCIAC All-Academic team...Played in 38 games, batting .234 with 23 RBI...Opened the season with two doubles and two RBI against Whitworth...Was 3-for-7 with a home run, two doubles and four runs scored in a doubleheader against Whittier...Had two hits in his final collegiate game against Redlands...2013: SCIAC All-Academic team selection...Appeared in 13 games, including 12 starts, tallying a .316 batting average and eight RBI...Missed most of the season after suffering an injury in the Chapman series on March 16...Was 2-for-3 with four RBI in a win over nationally-ranked Ithaca, which was the top ranked team in the New York region...2012: Appeared in 26 games, including 24 starts, primarily at catcher...Batted .286 with 12 RBI on the year...Was 3-for-5 with two RBI in a key late season win over Cal Lutheran which allowed the Sagehens to move into second place in the SCIAC...Was 3-for-4 with two doubles against No. 2 Kean, which went on to make the Division III World Series...Batted 2-for-4 with two RBI in the first game of a three-game sweep of CMS...Hit .288 in SCIAC games...High School: Attended Henry Gunn High School in Palo Alto, California, where he was a member of the school's baseball and basketball teams...Helped the baseball team to an 8-7 league record...Led the team with .500 league batting average senior year...Awarded first team all league honors senior year...Helped lead the basketball team to a CCS playoff appearance...Scored season-high 26 points to help defeat Homestead on Senior Night...Also played club ball for Team Kado Baseball and All Star Academy Titans...Personal: Attends Pomona College, where he majors in economics and has a minor in mathematics...Has one brother...Mother, Kathi, played softball at Stanford, and father, Scott, was a soccer player at Albany...Hobbies include all sports, both playing and following...Favorite athletes are Willie Mays and Collin Kaepernick...Lists They Call Me Coach by John Wooden as his favorite book, and Fight Club, The Italian Job and Remember the Titans as his favorite movies...Worked with the local Special Olympics organization in high school helping them with their baseball, bowling, and basketball leagues...Chose Pomona because "I really wanted to be in SoCal and came down on a recruiting visit and really loved the school.  After doing a little more research and talking to people I just felt this is where I wanted to spend my time at college."
