High School: Attended Punahou School where he played baseball. In his senior year for the Buff ‘n Blue, he was named All-Hawaii Honorable Mention and All-Interscholastic League of Honolulu Honorable Mention.  He also graduated with honors, was a Punahou School Presidents Award recipient and was a violinist in the Punahou symphony/chamber music program.
