History
"We are looking forward to hosting this West Region Championship meet again," says Women's Head Coach Kirk Reynolds. "This is a tough cross country course that has all the elements to challenge a runner," continues Reynolds. "It has grass and dirt trails, and the whole course pretty much goes either uphill or downhill, so on each loop you have to do a bit of work to set up the next loop. The course is also very spectator-friendly; you can see the runners go by numerous times from the central start/finish area at the track. Do you ever watch Formula 1 racing? Yeah, it's like that!"
The women's course record is 20:57.3 held by Maya Weigel (Pomona-Pitzer) in winning the 2016 Pomona-Pitzer XC Invite. The men's course record is 24:24.7 by Henry Pick (CMS) in winning the 2021 SCIAC Championships.
