At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his senior year as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Football team...Served as a team captain in 2013 and 2013...Played defensive back as a sophomore after seeing most of his time as a freshman at linebacker...Preseason USA College Football All-American (third team).

2014: SCIAC's John Zinda Award Winner (for character, leadership and sportsmanship)...SCIAC All-Academic team...Started all nine games at safety...Finished second on the team with 59 tackles, including 3.5 for losses...Had a forced fumble and an interception...Had six solo tackles and an interception in the season opener at MIT...Tallied a season-high 12 tackles against Rhodes...Added eight tackles against Redlands, Occidental and CMS, while forcing a fumble in his final game against CMS.

2013: SCIAC All-Academic team selection...Started all nine games, while being hampered by a broken hand...Totaled 53 tackles, with a high of eight (three for losses) in the regular season finale against CMS...Also had seven tackles four times, including in wins over La Verne and Whittier...Intercepted a pass in a win over La Verne, and broke up two others.

2012: Second-team All-SCIAC selection...SCIAC All-Academic Team...Led the SCIAC in tackles with 93 in nine games...Had four games in double figures, including a season-high 18 at La Verne, and 16 at home against Redlands...Intercepted a pass at Chapman, when he had nine tackles...Also had 13 tackles against Whittier and 10 in the season opener against Menlo...Had three pass break-ups.

2011: Played in all nine games for the Sagehens, and finished fourth on the team in tackles with 49...Played most of the season at linebacker after moving up from the defensive backfield...Had five tackles for losses, including two sacks...Forced two fumbles and recovered one...Tallied season-high 10 tackles in a narrow home loss to Occidental...Had nine tackles in a game against nationally ranked Cal Lutheran...Finished out the season with nine tackles in a road game at CMS...Forced fumbles against Chapman and Occidental.

High School: Attended Gold Beach High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball for the Panthers...Earned first-team all-state honors at linebacker, and was a first-team all-conference linebacker and a second-team all-conference wide receiver...A three-year game captain and a two-year team captain...Helped the Panthers to a state championship (3A) in 2007, as well as runner-up finishes in 2008 and 2010...Was a class valedictorian and an associated student body president...Named the GBHS Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Attending Pomona College, where he majors in mathematical economics...Has one sister and one brother...Father, Don, was a four-year starter at defensive back for Pomona-Pitzer from 1980-84...Spent the summer (2013) interning for the National Football League Player's Association in Washington, D.C., where he worked in the Player Services Department and was instrumental in drafting a "Player Health Bill of Rights," a proposed amendment to the NFL CBA...Spent the summer of 2012 participating in the Fullbridge Program, a competitive business training program in Boston...Plans on attending a top business school after graduation...Elected junior class president at Pomona.
