CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's lacrosse's
Shelby Stanton has been named a 2026 Division III Women's All-American Third Team member, USA Lacrosse Magazine announced Wednesday.
Stanton helped anchor the Sagehens' back line that ranked 10th nationally in scoring defense (5.94 goals allowed per game), 25th in ground balls per game (23.61) and second in scoring margin (10.22). The Mountain Lakes, New Jersey native caused 26 turnovers on the season and picked up 23 ground balls. She also scored three goals and had one draw control.
Stanton helped the Sagehens win their fifth consecutive SCIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships this season. Pomona-Pitzer currently holds a 17-1 record and will play next in the NCAA Third Round on Saturday, May 16, against Trinity College in Connecticut.
All-Americans were chosen by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff with input from coaches and conferences across the country.
