CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's tennis featured
Lauren Rha as SCIAC Athlete of the Year and
Rachel Roxarzade winning the Character Award, the conference announced Thursday. Additionally, a total of three Sagehens were named to the All-SCIAC First and Second Teams.
Rha posted an 8-2 singles mark in 2025-26, winning each of her last seven matches. She also went 9-5 in doubles on the season. She is the fourth consecutive Sagehen to be named SCIAC Athlete of the Year, with former Pomona-Pitzer student-athlete
Angie Zhou winning each of the last three.
In addition to Rha, Leticia Bazua was also named an All-SCIAC First Team member. Bazua finished the season with a 6-6 record in singles play, winning four of her last five. She also posted a 9-5 mark in doubles playing alongside Rha.
Mireille Chedid-Daley was named an All-SCIAC Second Team honoree. She notched a 15-7 singles record on the season and a 2-4 mark in doubles action.
The Sagehens finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 9-7 overall record, including 6-1 in conference play. They will open the SCIAC Tournament tonight as the No. 2 seed, hosting Redlands in the semifinals at 4:00 p.m. PT.
