CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's tennis fell 6-1 at CMS Sunday in its regular season finale.
Season Impact: The result puts the Sagehens at 13-12 on the season, including 6-1 in SCIAC play.
The Stags took a 1-0 match lead after winning the doubles point, despite
Leo Rocca and
Kiran Vairavanathan winning on court two, 7-6 (7-5). The Sagehens then fell behind 2-0 after
Drew Goldman fell on the top singles court, 6-0. 6-2.
John Wehrle then fell on court No. 3, 6-0, 6-1 before
Sam English dropped his battle on court No. 6, 6-1, 6-0. Rocca fell 6-2, 6-2 on court No. 2.
Tanner Ige picked up Pomona-Pitzer's lone point of the match on court No. 5, taking down Josh Kim of CMS 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
Valor Dare fell on court No. 4, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3), as the Sagehens fell 6-1.
