CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens women's tennis team delivered a dominant 7-0 victory over California Lutheran on Friday afternoon at the Pauley Tennis Complex.

Season Impact: The win puts the Sagehens at 9-6 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.

The Sagehens set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Leticia Bazua Vazquez and Lauren Rha earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Annique Varty and Ishya Bhavsar followed with a 6-3 victory at No. 2. Tessa Ellingson and Aditi Gulati completed the sweep with a 6-2 win at No. 3. The Sagehens carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in convincing fashion. Mireille Chedid-Daley led the way at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory, while Meha Chaudhary added a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2. Sofia Kalyva battled through a three-set match at No. 3, earning a 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 comeback win. Ellingson secured a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 4, and Varty followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5. Bhavsar closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 6.
