CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens men's tennis team delivered a dominant 6-1 victory over Cal Lutheran on Thursday afternoon at the Pauley Tennis Complex.

Season Impact: The wins put the Sagehens at 12-11 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.

The Sagehens set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Drew Goldman and Jay Mallampati earned a 6-3 win at No. 1, while Neil Chulani and Tanner Ige followed with a tight 7-6 victory at No. 2. John Wehrle and Lucas Elkins completed the sweep with a 6-4 win at No. 3.

In singles play, the Sagehens won five of six matches to seal the convincing team victory. The order of finish in singles was 3, 1, 4, 5, 6, 2. Leo Rocca led the way at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-3 win, while John Wehrle followed with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3. Valor Dare added another point at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-3 decision. Luke Feng secured a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5, and Sam Saeed closed out a strong performance with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6. The Regals picked up its lone point at No. 2 singles in a tightly contested three-set match, but the Sagehens' depth across the lineup secured the 6-1 result.
