MONTEREY PARK, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's swim and dive secured two individual event wins and a medley relay team win Thursday on day two of the SCIAC Championships.Â

Ellie Burkhardt finished first in the 500-yard freestyle relay, touching the wall in 5:00.84.
Cassidy Schneider placed third with a 5:02.70.
Francesca Coppo then posted the team's second individual win of the day, placing first in the 50 free with a meet record time of 22.82.Â

The Sagehens closed the day with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, with
Amaia Sherman, Coppo,
Taylor Park and
Nina Aballea swimming a 3:43.61. In the 200 IM,
Bennett Jones earned a second-place finish after clocking a 2:04.48, just 0.04 seconds behind the winning time.Â

As a team, Pomona-Pitzer sits in second place with 359 points, behind CMS (369) and ahead of third place Chapman (172).
