CLAREMONT, Calif. —
Jack Gold was named SCIAC Baseball Athlete of the Year while a total of three Sagehens earned All-SCIAC honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Gold led the conference with a .575 on-base percentage and ranked second with a massive .935 slugging percentage for nine home runs and 32 RBI despite missing six games. Splitting time between second base and left field, the sophomore made 39 put-outs and 25 assists for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage to fuel the Sagehens to a No. 22 national ranking and #2 seed in the SCIAC Tournament.
Gold was also named to the All-SCIAC First Team, as well as
JC Ng who made his third First Team and fourth career All-Conference Team. The senior centerfielder batted .371 on the season with 12 homers, eight doubles and three triples.
Ethan Collins was named All-SCIAC Second Team. The senior RHP notched a 3.11 ERA on the year and a perfect 5-0 record from the mound while fanning 58 batters in 63.2 IP.
