Joe Cookson earned National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com All-District Second Team honors on Tuesday.
The postseason accolade is his third this year, with Cookson already being named an All-SCIAC First Team member for the third time in his career.
The six-foot-six senior led the Sagehens in scoring with 22.8 points per game, also averaging 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest. Cookson shot 53.2% from the floor, including a career-best 45.1% from three.
The Mercer Island, Washington native poured in a career-high 38 points against Occidental on Jan. 22. The career outing was one of Cookson's three 30-point performances of the season. He pulled down a season-best 15 rebounds against Redlands on Dec. 16 and dished out a season-high seven assists on Feb. 5 at Whittier.
Cookson ended his Sagehen career fourth all-time in the program record book with 1,709 career points. He also finished seventh all-time in assists (317), ninth in three-pointers (144) and 10th in steals (106).
