Box Score PASADENA, Calif. — Despite a game-high 26 points from
Jadyn Lee, Pomona-Pitzer women's basketball fell 75-60 to Caltech on the road Wednesday night.
Season Impact: The result drops the Sagehens to 11-11 on the season, including 6-7 in SCIAC play.
Jadyn Lee led all scorers with a season-high 26 points, shooting 10-of-20 from the floor and adding 10 boards, two assists and two steals.
Abigail Homan posted 15 points, nine rebounds and four steals while
Emily Lee contributed eight points.
Pomona-Pitzer got out to a quick start, as Homan knocked down an early triple to put the team up 10-4. Homan and
Jadyn Lee traded layups, then
Charlize Andaya hit a trey of her own as the Sagehens led 18-14 at the end of the first quarter.
Charlotte Patel and
Jadyn Lee scored layups early in the second, but the Beavers responded with a 6-0 run to cut the Sagehens' lead to one, 23-22.
Emily Lee hit a three before
Jadyn Lee scored a pair of baskets, with Pomona-Pitzer taking a 30-25 lead into the locker room at the half.
The Sagehens extended their lead to 10, 37-27, with 6:48 to go in the third quarter.

The Beavers led by five, 55-50, with 7:03 remaining before a pair of
Jadyn Lee baskets brought the Sagehens within one, 55-54. Homan hit a jumper to make it 57-56 for the Beavers with 5:16 to go, but Caltech scored six straight to go up 63-56. The Beavers ended the game strong, using a 10-1 run to seal the 75-60 win.
