CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's volleyball fell in four sets (22-25, 25-19, 19-25, 14-25) to Cal Lutheran Saturday evening at home in its final game of the 2025 season on senior night.
 
Season Impact: The result brings the Sagehens' final season record to 10-16, including 5-11 in SCIAC play. 
 
Paige Mountanos closed out her illustrious Sagehen career with a team-high 13 kills against the Regals on a .276 clip to go with 12 digs. Samantha Grabb added 10 kills while Tene Ariyo added eight and Anna Krebs had seven. Corrina Benson posted 19 digs for the Sagehens while Paige Butler dished out 19 assists. 
 
Pomona-Pitzer hung around late in set number one, as kills from Ariyo and Grabb brought the Sagehens within two, 22-20. Grabb added another two kills late but the Regals held on for the opening 25-22 set win. The Sagehens cruised in set two, with a setter's dump from Butler putting the team up 18-13. Pomona-Pitzer closed the set on a 4-0 run, as a Mountanos kill sealed the 25-19 set two win. 
 
The Regals answered in set three, despite a kill from Krebs and one from Mountanos bringing the Sagehens within two, 18-16. Mountanos and Natalie Potter added a block late but Cal Lutheran held on for the 25-19 set three win. Cal Lutheran got out to a big lead in set four, despite a late kil from Krebs. Grabb and Charlotte Sekerka added a block late but the Regals took set four, 25-14, and the match, 3-1.
