HONOLULU — Pomona-Pitzer faced the University of Hawai'i Manoa Rainbow Warriors in an exhibition matchup Saturday at Bankoh Arena, falling 101-51.
The exhibition served as an early test for the Sagehens as they prepare for the 2025-26 season. Charlie Hutchison led the team with a double-double, scoring 15 points and hauling in 11 rebounds. Clyde Rosenberg was the only other Sagehen to reach double figures, contributing 10 points in just 12 minutes along with two boards. Sam Lind added eight points but saw his minutes limited to 11 due to foul trouble. At halftime, the Sagehens trailed 47-25.
Pomona-Pitzer continued to battle in the second half, but turnovers proved costly. The team committed 23 turnovers, which led to 28 points for UH. The Rainbow Warriors dominated inside, scoring 66 points in the paint, while the Sagehens struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 21.1%.
