REDLANDS, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's basketball saw its five-game winning streak snapped with a 94-67 road loss to Redlands Monday night.
Season Impact: The result drops the Sagehens' record to 9-6 on the season, including 3-3 in SCIAC play.
Ty Bergman scored 14 points to lead Pomona-Pitzer, adding six rebounds and a pair of assists. Bergman reached the 1,000 career points milestone with his performance.
Joe Cookson and
Samir O'Brien each contributed 11 while
Peyton Mullarkey scored nine and
Sam Lind had eight for the Sagehens.
Pomona-Pitzer hung with the Bulldogs early, as Cookson and O'Brien traded three-pointers to bring the score to 15-12 for Redlands. But the Bulldogs used a 22-5 run to then go up 20, 37-17. Bergman scored six straight for the Sagehens then found Mullarkey for a three, but Pomona-Pitzer found itself trailing 53-28 at the half.
The Sagehens refused to go down without a fight, as O'Brien hit a jumper and Mullarkey nailed another trey, making it 59-39 for the Bulldogs. Lind later scored all eight of his points in a two-minute span, bringing the score to 73-51 for Redlands. Bergman hammered home a pair of dunks before

Connor Fitzgerald and
Kyle Jasper each scored late. But it was the Bulldogs that came away with the 94-67 win.
