CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Baseball team ended their 2024 season in historic fashion with their highest ranking ever to end a season at No. 5 according to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
The Sagehens took the No. 5 ranking to close out their season after setting multiple program milestones along the way. Pomona-Pitzer reached the NCAA Division III College World Series for the first time in program history, earned its first NCAA Super Regional Championship, earned its first SCIAC Tournament Championship, and tied for a program-best mark for wins in a single season with 37.
The Sagehens also had multiple individual accolades as well. Head Coach
Frank Pericolosi earned West Region Coach of the Year en route to the Sagehens' best year in program history while the Sagehens ended
with three All-Americans, seven All-West selections, and seven All-SCIAC selections including Player of the Year in
Isaac Kim and Pitcher of the Year in
Jake Hilton.
