Pomona-Pitzer jumped out to a lead in the top of the first with an RBI single by Evans. The Sagehens loaded the bases with one out in the ninth and pinch hitter Morihara came through with a two-RBI single that struck the bag at first to bring home Gold and DeGrazia to put the Sagehens back on top 6-5. The Sagehens weren't done yet as they loaded the bases again and Ng blasted his second home run of the series with a grand slam to blow the game open at 10-5.
With a comfortable lead in hand, Wiessinger closed out the game for Pomona-Pitzer and capped off the wild weekend with a behind-the-back grab for the final out of the game as the Sagehens took the series over No. 5 East Texas Baptist.
