- Chapman struck first with a 35-yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead on their opening drive and after forcing a Sagehen punt, the Panthers scored their first touchdown of the game off of a 32-yard pass to take a quick 10-0 lead with seven minutes remaining in the first.
- The Sagehens turned the ball over which led to another Panthers' score with Chapman leading 17-0 after the first quarter.
- It was a slow start for the Sagehen offense after they were shut out in the first half while Chapman added another score in the second quarter to take a 24-0 lead into halftime.
- Pomona-Pitzer made some halftime adjustments on offense that led to two scores with touchdown passes to Sander and Quinten Wimmer to cut the Panthers' lead down to 24-13.
- The Sagehen defense held the Panthers to a field goal and ended the third quarter with a 23-yard touchdown pass from Russo to Quinten Wimmer to make it a one-score game at 27-20 entering the fourth quarter.
- Unfortunately, once the Sagehens got within striking distance, the turnovers came back into the game after the offense turned the ball over four times in the fourth quarter putting away any chance of a comeback as the Panthers added two more scores to take the SCIAC Championship over the Sagehens.
