RIVERSIDE, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer men's swim and dive team opened their 2023-24 campaign with a 203-76 victory over the Caltech Beavers while falling to CBU 169.50-111.50. The Sagehens will be back in action on Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 when they travel to Chicago for the D3 Shootout. 
 
Meet Highlights
Tag Curwen took third in the 200 free with a time of 1:43.86. Larry Yu won the 100 back with a time of 50.71 seconds. Kyle Huang took second in the 200 fly with a time of 1:52.79 with Isaac Pan taking third in 1:53.47. Casey Jacobs won the 50 free with a time of 20.77 seconds. Adrian Clement took second in the 100 free after touching the wall in 46.39 seconds with Curwen touching in 47.51 seconds to take third. Ian Conner took second in the 200 back with a time of 1:56.54. Isaac Pan won the 200 breast with a time of 2:05.88. Larry Yu earned the win in the 500 free by over seven seconds, touching the wall in 4:40.33. Yu also won the 200 IM by nearly two seconds with a time of 1:52.46. 
 
The 400 medley relay team of Jacobs, Curwen, Clement, and Yu took second with a time of 3:04.38. In the 1m dive, Liam Gilbert-Lawrence took fourth with 221.30 points and took fourth in the 3m with 231.40 points.
